Oaxacan weaver Oscar Perez shares the wisdom of his ancestors in this short window into his process I filmed during my trip to Teotitlán del Valle in Oaxaca, México. Oscar is an incredibly humble artist, five generations deep into his work, and he's lovingly passing his craft and Zapotec language onto his children. His lineage fuels the magic of his work and lucky for us, he was more than happy to open his studio for me to capture on camera. I felt right at home in his beautiful workshop as I looked through my lens, in awe as he weaved dreams into reality on an old wooden loom his grandfather built.
His tender and inviting energy was emblematic of my experience in Oaxaca, one of the sweetest places in the world.
