Being born in L.A. as a child of migrant parents means being profiled by faceless bullies deployed by a tyrant ruler who preys on the workhorses of this country. To fire back, I aimed to tell a story that illuminates community leadership by utilizing my culture’s vibrant lucha libre superheroes as a way to inspire the disenfranchised.
